Our Family
Rick and Teri were married in Oklahoma City and have lived in South Carolina, Texas and back to Oklahoma in over thirty wonderful years of marriage. Wherever they have lived, running, biking and hiking have been their favorite activities. Teri spent her early years in Alaska where she developed her longing for outdoor adventure. Together they’ve traveled all over the world and passed their insatiable wonder to their kids: Taylor and Tallie, who are both avid hikers and adventure enthusiasts. When Ailee married Taylor, she fit right in to the family as a fitness and nutrition fanatic and is also an amazing cook! Our family is growing as we welcomed our first grandbaby, Indiana Pierce, into the world in September 2018 and then our second in February 2021. We love traveling and working together and have made it our mission to help others find joy in this beautiful life God has given us!
BJE Stays
In 2019 our family began a new venture called Bee Joyful Enterprises, which manages short term stay properties. The mission of BJE is to provide a joyful away from home experience in comfortable, affordable accomodations. Our family loves to travel and values the experience of exploring new places and learning about different cultures. There is so much to see in the world and so little time to see it! The purpose of BJE is to help people enjoy a home away from home and find joy in the journey!
Bee Joyful Honey
Bee Joyful is a family business specializing in delivering raw organic honey products directly to our customers. Our honey is harvested from our own beehives and comes from the wide variety of wildflowers growing in Deer Creek, Oklahoma. But more than that, we like to think of our products as a natural expression of a deeper reality – our desire is to promote a lifestyle of joy. A portion of our sales goes to support Global Action, an organization specializing in training and micro-enterprise in developing world countries. Our family has been involved with this organization since 2004 and deeply believes in their mission of bringing ultimate life changing JOY to the nations.
